Description: Out on a routine mission, Planetary Patrol Officers Rallen and Jeena respond to a strange distress signal and discover the wreckage of an escape capsule in which an old man has been in a cryogenic sleep for over a decade. Once conscious, the man, whose name is Aldous, relays an unbelievable tale of the attack on his home planet by a vicious horde of creatures known as the Krawl. As a scientist, he was able to identify an extinct species of creatures called Spectrobes as the natural enemy of the Krawl, and developed a device based on the technology of the Ancients that could harness the power of the Spectrobes. Armed with this knowledge and the device he calls a Prizmod, Aldous, Rallen and Jeena sets out to gather as many Spectrobes as they can to stop the Krawl from spreading out and destroying the universe. Spectrobes are very mysterious beings that harness light energy to unleash amazing powers, making them the Krawl's mortal enemies. Spectrobes once roamed the planets of the Nanairo solar system in harmony with ancient men. For some forgotten reason they are extinct, but Rallen is able to reanimate them using the lab system on his spaceship. Spectrobes come in three forms: Child, Adult, and Evolved. They are also divided into three types: Corona, Flash, and Aurora. Each type is weak to another and strong against another. Child Spectrobes have the ability to search for buried items, but cannot participate in battle. Adult Spectrobes can fight in battle and can serve as Support Spectrobes, but they can no longer search for buried items. Evolved Spectrobes mark the highest point of evolution for a Spectrobe line, they can do everything an adult Spectrobe can do, but they boast much more superior fighting skills. Exclusive Spectrobes are special Spectrobes which cannot be obtained normally in game, but function exactly like normal Spectrobes. Windora and Vilakroma can be obtained using the Card Input System, while Thundora can be purchased for 10 DL Points using the Download feature in the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection System. These three Spectrobes are all in their evolved form, and have no pre-evolutionary forms. Ultimate Spectrobes are extremely powerful Spectrobes that can only be summoned once per battle. To summon them, Rallen must use their respective elemental stone called a Geo, after charging the CH meter to three bars. Ultimate Spectrobes cannot be controlled normally like other Spectrobes, but rather, once they are summoned, they attack and then disappear. Under normal circumstances, they can often deal a one-hit KO to the enemy Krawl. There are a total of seven Ultimate Spectrobes in the game. Although one Geo is available to the player before the final battle, the other six must be obtained via the Great Black Holes scattered around Nanairo or by using the card input system.

Description: http://www.encognitive.com MARS AND BEYOND "Mars and Beyond" was a one-hour TV special originally shown in 1957 as a Tomorrowland episode on ABC's weekly "Disneyland" TV program. It's basically an educational film done in color with very creative animation supervised by Ward Kimball about man's relation to the stars, conditions for life on Mars and options for exploring Mars. This film is now available on DVD as part of the 2-disc set entitled, "Walt Disney Treasures: Tomorrowland: Disney in Space and Beyond." The piece is slow going at first, with a few live educational segments of scientists in offices explaining stuff to viewers. There are a couple of long cartoon sequences filled with gags that will entertain some and irritate others. One shows the history of man's relationship to the stars and another shows typical science fiction renditions of Martian invasion stories. These are done in the limited animation gag cartoon style perfected earlier in the decade by the UPA cartoon studio ("Gerald McBoing-Boing," "Christopher Crumpet," et al). The sense of humor is pretty juvenile (Chuck Jones was doing much funnier Martian-themed cartoons over at Warner Bros.) and the style is all too reminiscent of UPA cartoons and other Disney shorts of the time, such as the Oscar-winning "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom." However, in the last third of the program, the animation style changes and gets more serious and detailed. One segment shows us what life on Mars might be like if conditions were just a tad improved, so we get to see all kinds of predatory vegetation in action in incredibly imaginative depictions of cold hard plant-eat-plant life on this sandy, cold, arid planet. Then there's a segment offering a proposed operation for a fleet of manned ships to explore and travel the Martian surface. These painted illustrations, while limited in movement, are quite detailed and beautifully rendered. It continues with an animated presentation about mankind seeking to understand the world in which he lives, first noticing patterns in the stars, and developing certain beliefs regarding the celestial bodies. Theories from scientists and philosophers are discussed, including Ptolemy's inaccurate, but formerly-accepted theories, as well as those of Copernicus. Life on other planets is considered, soon focusing on Mars. Ideas from science-fiction authors H.G. Wells and Edgar Rice Burroughs are brought to life with more colorful animation. Pulp science fiction comics of the time are parodied in the same straightforward tone as everything else (this segment features Kimball's comic tone and there's even a cameo appearance by Donald Duck). After this, the program adopts a serious tone as it profiles each of the planets in the solar system, from the perspective of what would happen to a man on them. The program claims that whereas most of the planets are either too cold or too hot for life as we know it, life on Mars could almost be normal, something that is of increasing importance for the future. Dr. E.C. Slipher then discusses the Red Planet and the possibility that life is already there. More animation speculates what the conditions on Mars might be like. Description: This is my first TP vid and yes I know it totally sucks. It's another slideshow because I still don't have a DVD copier. But when I get one I'll make a better TP video. This vid is a tribute to Jim Hawkins from the disney movie "Treasure Planet." I tried to stick to the theme of solar surfing but it's also kind of about Jim's journey as well.
