I know this isn’t new news, but I’m so excited about the Disney’s California Adventure updates that I want to share them again:
- # A major new attraction based on the animated Disney classic "The Little Mermaid"
- An amazing nighttime spectacular that plays out on the sparkling waters of Paradise Bay
- Toy Story Mania! — a new attraction that combines the fun of classic boardwalk games and the Disney*Pixar "Toy Story" films.
- A 12-acre "Cars" Land that recreates the town of Radiator Springs, complete with three amazing new attractions featuring characters from the hit Disney*Pixar film "Cars."

EPCOT Central has a great post reflecting on the issues that surround EPCOT, its themes, and its direction especially as it relates to EPCOT Central’s coverage. Read it here:
EPCOT Central: Every Post Critical Or Trenchant?
What I really appreciate about this post is who EPCOT Central places the blame on for what they perceive as mistakes – the upper management. The core ideal around EPCOT was that it would be constantly evolving – you could say that is a core ideal for all the parks and I would agree with you. EPCOT was to be a playground of change around a single theme, Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.
But as management’s job is to make money – and not just revenue, but profit – they have gotten scared to take risks. It’s far easier to slap a Nemo themed ride into EPCOT then it is to think about what might make up the community of tomorrow. Nemo has had success. People will pay to see Nemo. Blah, Blah, Blah.
I have no issue with making money. However, as with all business, taking risks is critical to moving forward and avoiding stagnating and complacency.
I don’t want my blog to be a blog that criticizes Disney. There are plenty of other blogs that do that well. I appreciate them and when appropriate, want to highlight them.

Walt Disney World is asking Mom’s to join in on educating guests. They are looking for 10-12 individuals – I would assume females since the site is called Walt Disney Moms – to help with a new forum set to launch in 2008. Here is some copy from their site:
Have you and your family experienced Walt Disney World® Resort? Are you a self-proclaimed expert on all there is to see and do? Well, if so, then we’d like to hear from you!

They’d say, ‘I want to go on the Jungle Cruise, the Mark Twain Riverboat, the Pirates of the Caribbean…but I don’t want to go on any of the rides!’ I figured out that rides meant the whip or the Ferris wheel at amusement parks. The public recognized these were different. They all had stories.

DLRP Today has a bunch of images from Frontierland in Disneyland Paris. Disneyland Paris is celebrating it's 15th year anniversary and with the party comes a new coat of paint. Apparently it was badly needed.

As part of their 15th anniversary celebrations, the resort has been working overtime to get two brand new rides, Crush’s Coaster and the Cars Race Rally, completed. Now all they needed was some willing volunteers to come and see what all their hard work had achieved.
