I don’t think all of you will like some of these photos, but some of them are very good. These artists took some liberty with the image and likenesses of Mickey Mouse. Appreciate it as art.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie

Disney Insider had an interesting bit of trivia to pass on today. Apparently there is a classic cartoon entitled “Donald’s Nephews” where we get to meet the sister of Donald Duck, the mother of Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Her name…Dumbella.

1936 Disney Short: Through the Looking Glass

This animated short is definitely silly. I can see how it was influenced by Alice in Wonderland and maybe had influence on Beauty and the Beast.

Lonesome Ghosts starring Mickey, Goofy, and Donald

I used to have all sorts of little 45 records that were read-along with books. One of my favorites was Lonesome Ghosts. You would set the record needle at the beginning and every time you heard a chime, you turned the page.

Disney Cloning Animation Cells

This is a very interesting webpage. This Russian site has taken still frames from various movies and compared them to other movies and found that many of the exact scenes are the same. The difference is obviously with the detail. I guess this lets them focus more on the story and less on the actual animations. Anyway, give it a look as it is very cool to see these frames side by side - like Mowgli from Jungle Book in the same poses as Christopher Robins in a Pooh movie.
