1973 Vintage Robin Hood Record

One of my all time favorite Disney Movies is the 1973 animated film, Robin Hood (IMDB Link). I’ve always loved the different animals they portrayed as different characters. It was the definition of a kid’s movie.
I was stoked when a relative gave me an original 1973 copy of a Disneyland Record, Robin Hood: Story and Songs. The vinyl jacket has fabulous pictures from the movie that I just have to share.
Unfortunately, I don’t own a record player so I can’t comment on the content of the record. The songs listed are:
- Whistle Stop (Roger Miller)
- OO-DE-LALLY (Roger Miller)
- Love (Floyd Huddleston & George Burns)
- The Phony King of England (Johnny Mercer)
- Not in Nottingham (Roger Miller)
As the back cover says (view after the break), the music was conducted by George Burns. Narration and Dialogue Directed by Pete Renoudet with the assistance of John Wood and Rose Mussi.
To see the back cover and actual vinyl, make sure you read the full post by clicking on “Continue Reading”.
