If you have considered buying a movie off Apple’s iTunes store, read this comparison. Mark Caro purchased and downloaded Pixar’s Cars from iTunes and purchased the actual DVD from the store. He compares point by point the following features:

• Picture and sound quality – Winner: DVD
• Flexibility – Winner: DVD
• Convenience – Winner: Download
• Extras – Winner: DVD
• Ads and Trailers before the movie – Winner: Download

His verdict is that right now, DVDs have the advantage but if download services figure out a few items, they will be the clear winner in the not to distant future.
