My friend got to witness a battle filmed at sea with the Black Pearl this evening, off the coast of Redondo Beach! The shooting will continue through the week.
If you haven’t heard or didn’t know, the shop windows on Main Street contain names of those that helped make Disneyland what it is today. These are often referred to as the “credits” if you think of Disneyland as a giant movie. DisneyGeek.com has photos from both sides of the streets of many of these shop windows.
Themed Attractions has a huge inventory of videos from Disneyland and Disney World. These include not only ride-thrus but also parades and shows. You do have to register as a forum member to download any of the video but registration is fast and easy.
I found this photo in my Disney Flickr feed today. I’m not sure what the three characters are - anchors, buoys, ???. I love the Flying Dutchman boat from Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest in background.
With the release of the TaleSpin Volume 1 DVD, I thought I would link to this TaleSpin Fan Site. I used to watch this show every day after school and am very excited to show my three year old.
These photos, from the collection of Ray Aragon, were taken in June and July 1958 at Disney Studios. Most of the artists in these pics worked in the layout and background departments at Disney. At the time they were completing work on Sleeping Beauty and beginning production on 101 Dalmatians.
I found this interesting article describing the history of the story of Alice in Wonderland. Originally written by Lewis Carroll, the story has had many interesting illustrations - many displayed with the article.
If you are a lost fan, check this out. Its a video of Alvar Hanso discussing why the Dharma initiative exists. I’m not sure if its real or a fan created spoof, but it looks pretty good.
Explorethemagic.com has a scan of ticket #81504 from Epcot’s opening day. Its very attractive and definately would have been a keeper (still is I guess).
Hong Kong Disneyland opened on September 12, 2005. Currently it has no sister parks like the other Disney resorts around the world and it is the smallest of all the parks.
I create a new page that links to each Disney Map from each Disney Park at each Disney Resort. I hope you find these as useful as I do. It will become the third regular link on the right along with the Disney Links page and the Recommend Stuff page.
I found it interesting that each Disney Destination site was different in design and in functionality. If you cruise some of these maps, you will find that very few resorts present them in the same fashion. In fact, the best maps I could find of the Disneyland Resort in California were actually PDFs. Besides for these three maps, all the rest link to pages on the particular resort’s site.
