Courtesy of MadDrMatt at YouTube.com: Using clips from nearly every Disney animated movie, this video recreates the feel and magic of the greatest show Disneyland has ever created. Featuring the actual show soundtrack!
Warning: May take time to load on account of large size.
I just started collecting pressed pennies - and now they offer nickels, dimes and quarters - during my latest trip in early March. Thank to the DisneyBlog for pointing me Park Pennies where they have maps of current locations of presses.
This is a neat blog with quite a few contributors. Here is the description:
“A forum for Pixar and Disney professionals passionate about the Disney Theme Parks to catalog past Imagineering missteps and offer tenable practical solutions in hopes that a new wave of creative management at Imagineering can restore some of the wonder and magic that’s been missing from the parks for decades.”
My blogger account for this blog was reported as a spam blog. I had to click to have someone at google review it before I could post new content. I will work to get some new posts up ASAP.
P.S. If this helps eliminate some of the blogger spam blogs - sblogs - I guess that isn’t so bad. This is my naturally passive selve commenting on a bad situation.
This is the video they play in room at the hotels in Walt Disney World. It takes you through all the parks and provides handy tips about your Walt Disney Vacation.
Dan G. has some early photos of a ride called Midget Autopia at Disneyland. The first one is who I assume is Snow White signing autographs in front of the ride entrance.
This is a really neat idea. Allen Huffman, who runs ParkHopping.com, has posted quicktime videos in 3-D! You do need 3-D glasses to watch. I haven’t been able to get my hands on some glasses so let me know how they look. The videos are located here.
This is the full movie that was in Tomorrowland from 1985 until it was replaced by “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.” I believe I saw it two or three times. Does anyone know if they showed it in WDW?
Found this great link to a flash presentation of a tour of Walt Disney’s apartment. Tim O’Day narrates a walk through and then you can click to hear more about certain areas of the apartment. For those who don’t know, this apartment is over the fire house on Main Street. They leave a light on in the window everyday to remember Walt Disney by.
If you like the Pirates of the Caribbean then you got to check out TellNoTales.com. Their media page has audio clips of Walt Disney talking about the ride, sounds from the ride. They also have videos, desktop wallpapers and some scans of official souvenir guides.
